This leads to them performing poorly in school and may lead to problems with the teachers. Another of the effects of drug abuse is that it robs society of useful people. When one starts using and abusing drugs, they tend to neglect their work. This leads to a drop in their work output and may eventually lead to them being fired from their places of employment, leading to the loss of a once very useful economical resource.
